The 2025 Indiana State Horseshoe Tournament is set to take place in Frankfort on Saturday, September 6, and Sunday, September 7, at the Curt Day Horseshoe Courts in Dorner Park, 859 S. Clay St.
Competition begins each morning at 9 a.m., with singles play scheduled across two full days. The registration deadline is August 23, and entry fees are $40 for adults.
The event is hosted by the Frankfort Horseshoe Club and will feature 15 classes of pitchers. Champions will be crowned in several divisions, including Men’s State Champion, Men’s Elder State Champion, and Women’s State Champion, along with 11 additional class titles. A special highlight this year will be the crowning of an 8-year-old girl as the Girls Cadet Champion.
The courts are named for Curt Day, a Frankfort native, 18-time Indiana State Champion, and three-time World Champion.
Tournament director Sam Payne said he hopes the community will come out in full force. “I would love to see Clay Street lined up with spectators in their lawn chairs watching,” Payne said.
