Sheridan Scores Sky Lake Theme Park

The town of Sheridan is gearing up for a transformative new development that local leaders say will bring year-round family entertainment, economic opportunity, and a fresh identity to the small-town community—without compromising its charm.

SkyLake Theme Park, a multi-attraction amusement and recreation complex, is set to break ground just off U.S. 31, about 10 minutes north of Grand Park. The park will feature water rides, all-season tubing hills, and designated areas for adults, offering something for visitors of all ages.

“This is huge,” said Silas Devaney, president of the Sheridan Town Council.

The park is being developed by Hamilton County residents Sean Howard and Phillip Sack, who were inspired by their experiences attending youth sporting events at Grand Park.

While SkyLake will prioritize family-friendly experiences, the developers are also including features specifically aimed at adults, such as a separate section of the putt-putt course and other adult-only zones.

Hamilton County Tourism CEO Karen Radcliff echoed the enthusiasm, noting the park meets a regional need.

Town officials are optimistic that the project will stimulate local business and long-term investment, all while preserving Sheridan’s small-town character.

Construction on SkyLake Theme Park is currently underway, with an official opening slated for Summer 2026.
