A local group led by resident Katelyn Greeno is organizing a public gathering at TPA Park on Thursday, August 28, at 7 p.m. to voice opposition to the proposed data center project in Clinton County.
The event, billed as a peaceful assembly, will take place near the large shelter house by the stairs. Organizers say the meeting will include the signing and notarizing of affidavits that participants intend to serve to elected officials regarding the project.
Greeno said the gathering is intended for residents who oppose the data center, want to take formal action, and seek to “lawfully instruct government officials and protect the county’s resources and natural beauty for future generations.”
Citing provisions in the Indiana Constitution, the group argues that public officials are obligated by oath to follow the will of the people.
Community members are invited to attend, ask questions, or contact organizers directly for additional information.
