The City of Frankfort is bringing back its Hometown Heroes program to honor local veterans during Veterans Day week this November.
Custom signs recognizing veterans will be placed at Veterans Park and featured during the city’s Veterans Day program on Tuesday, November 11. Each sign will display the veteran’s name, military photo, branch of service, and years served.
Veterans, or family members submitting on their behalf, can provide information for the displays by emailing Kimberly Black at kblack@frankfort-in.gov. To guarantee a sign in time for the Veterans Day event, submissions must be received by Friday, October 17, 2025.
The city is also seeking sponsors to help support the Hometown Heroes program. Those interested can contact Kimberly Black for additional details.
