Frankfort Firefighters Host First Annual 9/11 Memorial Walk

The Frankfort Firefighters Local 705 held its first-ever 9/11 Memorial Walk this morning, drawing a strong turnout from community members who gathered to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Participants walked in remembrance of the victims, the first responders who sacrificed their lives that day, and the men and women who have served in the military since. Organizers say the community’s support made the event a powerful and meaningful tribute.

“This community came together in an incredible way, and we couldn’t have asked for a better turnout,” Local 705 said in a statement. “We are proud to stand beside you in remembrance and look forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come.”

The firefighters offered special thanks to the City of Frankfort, Frankfort Fire Department, Clinton County EMS, Frankfort Police Department, and American Porkers for their help in making the event a success.
