Frankfort City Council met Monday evening, during which they approved the donation of a city lot to the Frankfort Building Trades Corporation. FBT is a joint vocational program for the high schools in Clinton County, where students are able to learn and gain experience in the construction of homes. They have built over 40 homes in the Frankfort area, and have plans to build a new home on a vacant lot at Williams and Clinton St.
At the end of the meeting, Mayor Judy Sheets honored long term council member Megan Sheets for her time in public service. Megan Sheets was joined by family to celebrate her retirement.
