I didn’t write our mission statement to sound like every other radio station or to impress anyone with big words and corporate jargon. I wrote it so that anyone who contributes to KNS Radio has a clear guiding light. If we ever lose sight of why we’re here or what we’re trying to do, this message will always be here to help us refocus and move forward with purpose.

I started KNS Radio in February 2024 because I felt the people of Clinton County and the surrounding areas weren’t getting the honest, fact-based local news they deserve. Too often, what’s presented as news is actually opinion. It’s biased, slanted, and misleading.

Every journalist has a responsibility to ask tough questions, challenge the status quo, and hold local leaders accountable. Those in power should know we are paying attention, and more importantly, that we are asking the right questions and covering the stories that matter.

But I can’t do this alone. No one can. That’s why I’m building a team of passionate contributors who care about this community. I’m looking for people willing to help cover the issues we face, on their own time and in their own way. The goal is to create something that’s both enjoyable and meaningful…a community-powered news source that is as serious as it needs to be and as local as it gets.
