Fall Property Taxes Due November 10

The Clinton County Treasurer’s Office is reminding property owners that fall tax installments are due on Monday, November 10. Payments may be submitted by mail, in person, online, or at First Financial Bank in Rossville.

Mailed payments should include the tax coupon and check, and must be sent to 2 East Washington Street, Suite 204, Frankfort, IN 46041. Envelopes must be postmarked by the due date to avoid penalties. Taxpayers who wish to receive a receipt should enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

In-person payments may be made at the Clinton County Treasurer’s Office, located on the second floor of the Annex Building, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A secure drop box is available behind the building for check payments; tax coupons must be included.

Online payments may be submitted at www.clintonco.com by selecting “Pay My Taxes Online.” Credit and debit card transactions will include a 2.5% convenience fee, and e-check payments will incur a $1 processing fee.

Payments will also be accepted at First Financial Bank in Rossville during normal business hours. Taxpayers must bring their tax coupon and pay the exact amount shown.

County officials noted that making partial payments does not prevent the accrual of late penalties or additional fees, nor does it protect the property from being subject to a tax sale if the balance remains unpaid.
