Clinton County EMS Named Provider Of The Year

Clinton County EMS has been named the 2025 ALS Provider of the Year (Non-Fire Based) by the Indiana Fire Chiefs Association, a statewide honor recognizing excellence in prehospital care.

The award highlights the outstanding work of Clinton County’s paramedics, EMTs, and supervisors, who consistently deliver advanced, evidence-based care to the community. Recent accomplishments include launching a paramedic program with a 100% first-attempt pass rate, implementing advanced ventilator management, i-STAT point-of-care testing, and expanding high-level training simulations.

“This recognition belongs to our entire team,” said EMS Director Steven Deckard. “They show up every day with skill, humility, and heart—and we are honored to serve this community.”

The celebration also honored Sandy Crick, who has served as Clinton County EMS office manager for an extraordinary 31 years. Crick joined Deckard in Noblesville to accept the award, where her behind-the-scenes contributions were recognized as a vital part of the department’s success.

The IFCA’s ALS Provider of the Year award recognizes organizations demonstrating exceptional outcomes, leadership, education, and community engagement. Clinton County EMS was selected from a competitive field of peer agencies across Indiana, further cementing its reputation as a leader in prehospital emergency care.
