The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will close State Road 47 between County Line Road and Wesco Parkway beginning on or after Monday, September 22, for approximately one month. This closure is the first phase of the broader S.R. 47 Roadway Improvement Project, which will reconstruct the roadway from County Line Road to State Road 38.
During this closure, motorists should follow the official detour:
State Road 38 → U.S. 421.

Other Upcoming INDOT Road Work in Boone, Clinton, and Tippecanoe Counties (Next Two Weeks)
Here are additional road work and lane/ramp closures announced by INDOT that drivers in the area should be aware of:
U.S. 52 (Boone County)
Beginning on or after Tuesday, September 9, crews will close the right eastbound lane of U.S. 52 between State Road 47 and Frontage Road. This is part of the ongoing 52 @ 65 intersection improvement project. The work is expected to continue until early October, weather permitting.
I-65 (Tippecanoe County)
There are planned overnight lane and ramp closures on I-65 between mile markers 176 and 180, near State Road 43. These closures are for bridge improvement work.
Details:
Center and right lanes of northbound I-65 between mile markers 176-180 will be closed.
The northbound off-ramp at S.R. 43 will also be closed.
