Music Matters Festival Returns In 2025

A weekend filled with live music, community spirit, and outdoor fun is set to return to Montgomery County this fall as the Music Matters Festival 2025 takes place September 26–28 at the Darlington Conservation Club.

Local Frankfort artist and musician, Jason Wells says the three-day event will bring together musicians, fans, and families for a lineup of performances, open jam sessions, workshops, and games. Admission is free, with primitive camping available on-site for just $10 for the entire weekend. Gates open at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, and the festival will continue through Sunday evening.

Festival-goers are encouraged to bring tents, RVs, campers, or buses, as all camping will be primitive. The event is designed to be accessible for both seasoned festival campers and first-timers looking to enjoy a laid-back weekend of music under the stars.

The music schedule features regional and local talent, including:
• Eric Barr
• Relyxband
• Greg Jones and the Wabash Ramblers
• Additional performers and groups expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

In addition to live sets, the festival will host an open stage and jam area, allowing musicians of all levels to share their talents. Workshops and interactive activities will also be offered, making the event a community-driven experience.

While admission is free, donations will be accepted during the festival to help organizers prepare and expand for future years.

KNS Radio is serving as the official media sponsor for the 2025 festival, helping promote the event and bring attention to the growing tradition of live music at the Darlington Conservation Club.

Organizers are encouraging music fans across the region to mark their calendars and “fill it up with music” as the festival continues to grow in both size and reputation.
