Heat and Humidity To Persist Across Central Indiana

Central Indiana residents enjoyed a brief break from the summer heat last weekend, with highs reaching only into the 70s. However, forecasters say that relief will be short-lived as warm, humid conditions return and settle in for the week ahead.

According to the latest 7-day outlook, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop late Tuesday into Wednesday. Despite the rain chances, temperatures will remain well above average, with highs climbing into the mid to upper 80s through most of the week.

By next weekend, some areas could once again flirt with the 90-degree mark, keeping summer’s grip firmly in place. Forecasters caution that while periodic storms may bring brief cooling, no significant break in the heat and humidity is on the horizon.
